Vienna/Munich, 16 March 2017 – The construction company Heijmans Oevermann GmbH with its registered seat in Münster will become part of PORR: The share purchase agreement was signed on 15 March. The purchase price is around EUR 60m. PORR is thereby strengthening its service range in traffic construction and building construction and continuing with its strategic growth strategy in Germany. The takeover is subject to the approval of the responsible competition authorities.

“The acquisition of Oevermann is a perfect fit for the PORR growth strategy. On the one hand, the longstanding company is an ideal complement to the PORR portfolio in Germany, on the other hand, our new subsidiary will benefit from our established service areas”, said Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR AG.

“Oevermann enjoys an excellent reputation in both the private and public sector. With the merger we will bring together the strengths of Oevermann and PORR and significantly consolidate our competitive positioning as a full service provider”, said Frank Jainz, Managing Director of PORR Deutschland GmbH.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of PORR Deutschland GmbH, the company should continue to operate on the market under the name Oevermann GmbH. The takeover will support PORR in its mission to expand its market position in Germany. In order to realise the strategy, the regional presence of Oevermann and its expertise in traffic construction will make a significant contribution. The primary driver for growth in building construction and traffic construction will come from the newly acquired expertise and human resources.

Heijmans Oevermann GmbH specialises in the complete realisation of traffic routes such as motorways, highways and country roads, airfields and logistics sites, as well as holding interests in six asphalt mix works. In building construction Oevermann has realised countless projects for public and private clients such as office buildings, residential and commercial properties, hotels, schools, hospitals and retirement homes. In Germany Oevermann has seven branch offices and around 700 employees and is particularly active in the North-Rhine Westphalia region, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.

In 2016 the company in Germany generated revenue of around EUR 215m. Heijmans Oevermann GmbH was part of the Dutch construction company Heijmans NV, headquartered in Rosmalen, since 2007.
