Consortium secured itself the last outstanding consortium of the S10 Motorway, too.
After the Götschka Tunnel and the contract section 4.1, ASFINAG also commissioned PORR Bau GmbH as part of a consortium, with contract section 3. In the framework of this, the last outstanding contract section, the S 10’s section stretching from km 11.425 to km 16.10, including auxiliary, water protection as well as shaft and cladding tube systems was completely renewed. The project furthermore included four subsurface sections, eleven bridges and three operating stations. Earthwork was completed using blasting removal.
One of this project’s special features was the several drifts method used for the tunnel formwork on this dual-tube tunnel cross-section.
