When Austria Email withdrew from the stock market recently, it became official: PORR is now the oldest, continuously traded company at the Vienna Stock Exchange.

8 April marked the 148th anniversary of the first listing of the PORR share. PORR – initially under the name of Allgemeine Baugesellschaft – has been listed at the traditional Vienna Stock Exchange continuously since 1869.
Thus, it beats the runner-up Wienerberger by a full week.

Times have not always been easy, the political and societal environment was, at times, turbulent and the economic framework conditions were sometimes very challenging indeed. PORR, however, defying all odds, remained on course and stayed true to its principles.

A few years ago, today’s board fully committed itself to the capital market. The results: Today, PORR is a significant market participant in this area and is on the verge of joining the ATX, the premium segment at the Vienna Stock Exchange.
